    you suck big dog
at least ill still respect you in the morning....

i would be keen to put my hand up to "babysit" AWNR till you return, you have done alot for me so i think i should pass on to others what you have taught me.

plus cant see a good thing die out so soon.
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

I don't want to see this thing of ours die either which is why I have given so much notice.
If I was definitely coming back at some time I would be looking for a babysitter but as I may never come back I am looking for an owner to come forward and take ownership going forward.

Said owner would not need to be particularly skilled just able to set up the exercises and coordinate things, provided they could con other members to come and put their knowledge to good use where they could.

Cool so you are nominated to be coordinator, what you need is some volunteers for helper and a second to the motion... this is after all a democracy. In case you did not know I was never in charge.

I have just taken on a new management role, will wait to see the new rosters, training course sechdules and exam dates...I will see what I can do about carrying on the tradition....If anyone has any objections to this please pm me..

Alternatively anyone who is keen to come along to Monday nights these are still running out in Panmure are alot of fun, and pretty cruisy!!

It might not be a wednesday night because of work but the course will be reorganised and restructured it so its a weekly learning thing and with new and different exercises, I will help out where I can.

Cheers Bigdog for all the personal time and commitments you have taken in order to see this through....Guys, I think we should have a bit of a farewell do for Bigdog when the time comes as he's put alot into this...maybe dinner and a bit of a ride somewhere.

As you know in my mind this has never been about me.
This has always been about making the transition from riding to riding safely and with confidence.

Nothing would make me prouder than to see this carry on in the hands of veterans of the experience.
This was a huge commitment over the last 14.5 months but I wanted to see some people out enjoying their chosen pass time (or mode of transport or lifestyle as the case may be) without learning everything the hard way.

I recommend you two talk to each other off line along with any other volunteers and work out so you can do what is best for each other and the cause.

Im taking the helping to other riders to the next level - but this is based on the monday nights and interest generated outside by word of mouth.....I've sent through the proposal for the mini track/newbie riding night.....Just waiting to hear back on confirmation for a date....

I hope it will be a good turn out...

Will throw up a proposal to see what others think...already voiced it to Fireball, and she thinks its a good idea, between us we have alot of ideas to play around with. I see that as an awesome thing because I have experience behind me but she has the "we need to learn this" because she is the one whom knows what newbies should be learning thesedays...

    Im just an old fart!!!

    "One proposal"

Meet at shell westgate on a THURSDAY night usual time etc....

We either ride a seperate ride because ATNR riders are a bit more skilled and pick up the pace...

Or go do some fun exercises, and meet them all at Bar Africa after!!

It not only gives ya a chance to chat and see whos who, but also the opportunity to talk to experience riders who have also been down the newbie path, check out some of the larger bikes, and have fun!!!

Good thing about this idea, is that when you are skilled enough to do the ATNR ride, you'll already know bikers, they will help you out for ya first time on the ride etc!!!

I remember in the good old days when there were more 'mentors' than participants... No idea what happened to them all.

*Had to change the text colour as I use the white skin and I cant see it...*

Anyways, the ATNR is slow, If people are able to ride to a meeting location, they are able to do the ride.

Old north and peak road arent that technical. None of the corners are tight or deceptive. There are a lot of bikes so there is more of a pack, so you have a pace set and you can see their braking zones etc...

The second half of the ride I wouldnt advise as even most people have enough trouble that I can pass the entire pack in a few k's heheh
