I won't be able to go to Westgate at 6:30, but I heard you guys will be at Albany Mega Centre carpark at around 7:30? If that's the case I'll just turn up there.

Gutted Josh, with such a small turnout, we had the perfect opportunity to practice stoppies and wheelies.

Is that what you guys normally practise?? And here I thought the carpark drills were for developing safe riding skills...

Next time I'd better bring the 250 then, I don't think my 125 would be able to do either! Although... being so light, it might manage wheelies... hmm... might have to experiment...

Yeah Nagash, too bad you missed out on practising wheelies and stoppies! But you ride a cruiser anyway, so...

Haha mate, I can wheelie that cruiser.

I took a few pointers from Badger (Who Wheelie'd his GN!) and found an industrial area neardy and just muck around a bit, burn outs and wheelies It's like.. centiemetres off the ground but none the less haha.

On a side note: You actually thought we practice wheelie's and stoppie's on a learner ride?! That cracked me up man.

Well, i set a new record this morning and 12 o'clocked the GN
and then proceeded to throw it across the carpark on it's side...
Now my knee hurts for some strange reason...

The principle remains the same - by learning how to control your bike at slow speeds, you are able to use the same 'tools' to control your bike at faster speeds and with greater confidence.

There is an emphasis on slow stuff - pedestrian avoidance at 60k for example, braking in the wet, heck even braking full stop! It is certainly scary seeing how many new riders and even experienced riders cannot brake very well - lets just say they can after attending a few sessions.
