Thought id boast about my weekend..
I managed to scam the Ducati 900ss race bike from work for the race meet.
(boss actually told me to race it)
Went up on Friday to do some testing. The bike felt alright, but front brakes seemed to be very soft.
By the end of the day I was up to speed and was happy.
Come race day, I bled the front brakes to see if that would fix the problem.
It did'nt!
qualified 7th, which I was happy with.
The first race went well, I wheelied through the two guys in front of me!
First corner I was 3rd! Was thinking "what do I do now?? Ive never been up here before!"
I felt at home on the Duc, considering it wasnt really stopping that good.
Came 5th in the end, which was my best position of the season.
Came off the track to find brake fluid all over the front of the screen! and my helmet visor! (thats why it was shit!!) I ended up giving up on the front brake altogether, and used the ducs great engine braking and rear brake.
Second race was even better! Could see SVS the whole race, but could not catch up, (LOOK OUT BUDDY!!) And came 4TH!! Even better.
Third race was a struggle, 10 Lap race, by the end, I was wishing for lucky no. 10! Came 5th again.
Theres nothing like dragging your knee on a fast right hander on a Ducati Race bike! LOVIN IT!
End of the day I came 10th in the series, and met alot of cool new people.

P.S. I am getting the Aprillia within the next 2 weeks!
