    NOW it's a Monster!

Erm, I wasn't really sure where to put this, but I thought some of you might be interested to see what has been done to my Ducati Monster M750 BEARS/F3 race bike.

The principle problem with it was ground clearance. Despite fitting new springs front and rear to reduce sag, it still had poor ground clearance. Having things drag on the ground was playing with my mind, so I bit the bullet and paid to have new rear sets and a new exhaust system custom made. I picked it up on Friday, and will race it tomorrow.

What do you think? The rear sets (which aren't actually that rear set- about 1" up and 1" back) are made from machine grade aluminium (tougher than mild steel apparently). The exhaust headers are original but HPC coated, the new section is HPC coated ordinary steel exhaust tubing, and the can is oval carbon fibre. Everything has been custom made by a very clever bloke who's identity shall remain a closely guarded secret;-)

It sounds pretty good- deep for a 750 and not too loud. I'm stoked with it!

Shit hot man. I'd be keen to hear how you get on in F3. I'd like to run something like that myself but decided to go for cheap and cheerful (if any racebike can be described as such).

I've got one of those! (The MotoEquip sticker I mean).

Looks good! Is that a sharp kink under the bike?

Yeah, damn nice stickers they are too! Now who made those again?

That photo shows the kink from the worst angle. It seems to flow really well, at a fast idle the exhaust gasses come out with enough force to shake my hand, and they hit with an audible "THWAK"

    Nice looking bike

What year is it? Do you find the lack of a fairing slows you down much?

    Finished

Well, we should have done something when we were worried about the pipe cooking my boot... cause it did, BIG TIME. A heat sheild is required methinks A new boot wouldn't go amiss either, fortunately I've got one of those... well two actually.

Yeah I'm not sure how I'm gonna get all the red and black melted crap off the pipe! There were a couple of times when I had to check to make sure my boot wasn't actually on fire...

Looks like a nice job, excuse my ignorance but what is the 'finish' box for?
