Firing on 1 cylinder only GSX250

    Hi
I own a 2004 GSX 250 which is firing on 1 cyclinder intermittently. I have elimenated the igniter, coils, spark plugs, eletrical connections as the problem and have traced it back to perhaps one of the coils at the magento but dont know how to test. any ideas??

Sounds similiar to a problem I had on my impulse. One of the trigger coils was stuffed.

Find the wire that goes from the CDI to the engine, should have 3 wires. I'm not an expert on your bike, but on mine it had a common wire(wire that goes to both coils), and the other 2 went to each individual coil. To test if there is an open circuit, measure the resistance between the common wire, and one of the other wires. If you get a reading of infinity, then there is a open circuit and one of the trigger coils is stufffed.
