    Fashion shows and "super models"...

why do we pander to these elitist cattle markets?

fashion designers no longer try and produce clothes that look good, fit well and enhance appearance; instead trying to shock and outdo rivals merely to get a fleeting shot at publicity and a name for themselves.

no ordinary folks would ever wear such garments in everyday situations, would they?

and the soulless, grim and usually quite plain clothes horses they employ to display the rags. are they really worth the reputedly gazillions they get paid?

perhaps there is such a need for our creative youngsters to let their imagination run riot when designing new clothes? and being a model is an integral part of this designer parade?

    im not convinced though...

I don't - I will glance at Elle's tits given the opportunity though.

Some people regard it as art and entertainment.
I reckon it's what happened to all the poofs who used to go to 'Musicals'.

I don't personally know any size zero's that are tall enough to be part of the Haute Courture market.
So if you are lucky enough to look like that then congrats, you have found a niche in life and can make money out of it.
It's just how the world works, people are always going to be influenced by the media; (hell isn't KB a type of media -the internet, and aren't peoples opinions, well the ones that they are borrowing, influenced by this site?), and part of that is fueled by making people feel inferior.

Many of the designers are gay and want their women to look as flat and shapeless as . . .wait for it . . . boys.

Thin a girl down enough so she's anorexic and she'll look like a 13 year old boy with hair and makeup. Gee, wonder what turns the designers on.

The golden age of modelling was in the fifties, in my opinion. Those models were gorgeous WOMEN, not flat chested little girls, and on average were 10kg heavier than today's lot.

The minimum BMI rule is a start in the right direction. As an aside, you'll have noticed the swimwear and lingerie models look about a stone heavier than the couture models. Cos the coutore models look like Auschwitz victims in the nearly nuddy, and the swimwear girls look just yummy. Especially the Brazilians . . .

Ooooh. A model, you say? What sort of 'work' do you do, sunshine?

I see your profile interests include "bugger off boys". Is that a badly grammatised request for arse sex?

Me personally, I'm all about the Sports Illustrated look. Haute couture models are hella fugly.

    We don't, do we?

Just ignore their world. Ignore all the glossy sh1t magazines you see in the supermarket. Switch channels when you see them on the propaganda box.

    It's easy.

The ones paraded on the propaganda box are, yes.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Quite a lot of debate over if Freddie M was gay or bi.

He certainly had long term relationships with women, but the gay only pundits say that was before he found his true calling.

Probably he was more of a try-sexual, as in try anything.

I think it is sad that so many young girls try to look like the girls in the mags. Yet they have changed a lot since I was younger, and have 'fuller' women in them. Can't help but think they are 'token fatties' though.
I don't think all models/skinny girls are dumb, I think that is a horrible stereotype, yet it is basically impossible not to group or stereotype people. It is one thing we discuss a lot at uni. It is something you need to be aware of yourself and try not to be 'oppressive'.
I was a model back in the day ahaha. Did the Hokinui Gold Fashion Show
I'm gonna make it so PC

I went out with 2 models (not at the same time). They were very nice.
