Particularly by people who don't know the difference between "drew" claws and dew claws. Apparently. One suspects they have mullets as well.

Reading between the lines and the tv appearances you would be in the "business". Does anyone actually recieve any punishment for breaking this law?

I believe that it is, as yet, untested in Court. It's hard enough getting decent sentences handed down for serious breaches of animal welfare without going after these sorts of cases. If the offender was a credible professional dog breeder, that may be a different story. I suspect the SPCA may have a close interest in this, together with other enforcement agencies who are all over Trademe and similar sites like white on rice.

Avidly wish him dead, he is a disqualified human - worthiness not achieved.
Going all multicultural like we are I think it would be good to let some professional Arab judicial surgeons set up shop. Mutilate dog - no more walky on two legs I suggest. Ground level like the Indian amputee beggars overseas might give new appreciation for canine company. Would soon put a stop to it.
Animal torturing is well linked to later human homicide.

Yes - agreed! Well, don't know if that is a true fact, but every person I have met who stated they don't like animals has been a really off sort of a person in some way. Ranging from socially retarded to "get the fuck away from them as quickly as possible".

Most people like at least one type of pet. Something to do with the ability to show empathy to another living thing, I suspect.

Isn't that why women get married?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.
