Thumbs up Lift Please? Albany-Orewa 8.00 am

    Hello, O.o

Is anyone going past Albany and up to Orewa this week till friday? I have to work at Orewa and the bus stop is 3.5 km away from my house... If I ride there I have no where to park the bike at the bus stop, n if I walk to the bus stop Ill get drenched. Dont mind getting drenched on the way back but dont want to be wet at work.

Need to reach Orewa bet 8.00-8.30 am.

    Thank You Kindly.

    Raj.

Wind's going to be much quieter tomorrow, and it was fairly manageable today, just keep your weight off your handlebars and you'll find it a lot easier.

I think I worked out why you're not able to get the weight onto your pegs; instead of putting the `arch' of your foot on the pegs, use the ball of your feet instead (not the heel, the ball, just behind your toes) -- gives you a lot more control. This was recommended to me by a former international superbike racer I met on the vehicle ferry to Waiheke -- he races R6s and R1s now so he knows his stuff, or at least bullshitted that he did. He recommended this as an alternative to counter-steering.
