But to get your moneys worth, show up as early as you can. You'll get more runs than you can probably handle if you get there nice and early. It also makes it easier for those doing the paperwork to churn through everyone at the beginning of the day.

I'm planning to head over this weekend to enter the VFR. Just wondering, would I have to pay extra/be allowed to take 1 run on my minimoto?

Would you need the whole 2km run up for the flying ?

SO what happens if you go too fast? Will your eyes fall out? is it possible to breathe at high speeds?
But seriously now, what will happen to my bike?
    Bad things?
I know some bikes suffer from 'valve bounce' but I suppose on modern-ish bikes the revs have a limiter to stop getting to that point.

Currently planning to attend as hopefully, Plugz 4 Lugz are going to be there so I can get a pair of ear plugs made.
Also just want to hang with like minded people for the day and watch the fun.

Don't think the bike (or the body) is up to joining in.
Hey Sorry Deano, something has cropped up and it doesn't look I am going to make it. Pitty because I was looking forward to it.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

If everyone has the patience for it

Don't think I can take it anyway. Bunjying it to the pillion seat would only chip paint like the scooter wheel I took over the rimutakas did.

Oooh, the weather is not looking too flash.
I guess I'll get up and check this thread first thing tomorrow morning to see if there are any changes? What time do you think you will make an announcement, Deano?

    For Masterton Sunday
: Brief afternoon rain. Strong northwesterly.
Severe weather warning for Wellington: A period of severe northerly gales is expected on Sunday. In the 12 hours from 6am to 6pm Sunday northerly wind gusts of 120 km/h are likely.

    I defy thee, weather!

    Back protector?

Anyone know what the story is with back protectors? I have some thin armour in my leathers but it more resembles a piece of cardboard than anything that would prevent my back from snapping. Likewise I was loaned one by my neighbour, but that more resembles a really thick piece of cardboard - like, DVD case thickness.

Would that be OK? Is there likely to be a surplus of such things? Clearly I'm not planning on falling off anyway

I will post an update about the weather etc at about 7.00am.

Ranty - there will be back protectors for hire at $10, or someone may lend you one. The thick cardboard model doesn't sound like it would cut it, but bring it over and we can check it out.
