Well, er, yes. One thought I did have in relation to the Goose was 'you wouldn't have much trouble keeping that on the road for pennies'.

And that's a virtue in a motorcycle, in my humble, plebian, can't-afford-a-Ducati, not-much-mechanical-aptitude opinion.

    Sniff.

Pretty much, I suppose. Yes, I do fancy a Goose. No full licence yet for me, though. Bit silly, that I can ride a 60hp two-stroke, but not a 32hp four-stroke. But we've covered that before, I think.

And because of all that frustrated repression, when I *do* trade up, I'll probably buy as many ponies as I can get for my cash. For the same money as a nice Goose, f'rinstance, I could probably find an old Bindit 12 to add Ohlins bits to.

Yes. I went all gaga over the 500 Saturno in Motorad and Paul in NZ brought me back to earth rather quickly by reninding a few points, that being on of them. If it was NZ new you are more likely to have better long term support. Gilera hasn't made a road bike since the Saturno, and they are getting on a bit, so there will be wear and tear to sort out. The Goose is practically brand new.

I got the black one of the Goose, got a bit of ridicule from some 400 types, but suits my needs, and after keeping up or overtaking them they looked at it a little different. Only 145Kg dry, sweet.

It does honk, and does honk along, really nice note to it when getting above 6.5 krpm, and can do a mean backfire/retard to scare pedistrians/bad drivers.

Wheelie, yep managed to do one at 80 kms when going to pass, scared the crap outta me and the driver I was overtaking. And now have managed to wear the new slime off the tyre to nearly the edge, mainly from trying to keep up to my mates VTR1000.

    Arrow You know.

Out of all the bikes that I could have brought while I was last looking I came accross one just like this and I for some time seriously considered buying one. Yes, I know its not a Honda, however that fit of psychosis (PT) passed and the good Lord sent me the way of my CB. Funny how it all works out.
    Nice bike never the less.
