Wink Daisy and Donor get it on again!

Well today, Donor was the man and did the bizzo on Daisy. She's been off the road for 61 days

    Today, that all changed.

Donor got stuck into her like a shark into a swimmer. He bashed, bodged, cursed and got Daisy back into shape.

The forks were done by the local Yamaha dealer, 'cause I couldn't be fecked in the end doing them myself and paid them coin for the privilege. Also got a new rear brake master cylinder and away we went!

Forks went in after a bit of cursing, attached the speedo cable in, brake calipers and the mudguard.

Sorting out the back brake was quite cool, Donor had some gadgets that made life easier. Suffice to say, bleeding brake was no prob with a german made bleeder. Removing Daisy's bits led to Donor bonking his knuckle and made him wince like a lion zookeeper covered in blood. Still, the brake was a bit soft, so Donor bashed in a block to let them firm up!

Stuck the panels back on and Donor got into Daisy and fired her up! He was a man possessed. A bit of choke, he slapped and tickled her ... and she turned over! Huzzah! The house of gijoe reverberated with the goodness of "Ringa-a-ding-ding" and the volumnious clouds of blue smoke with it's rich, musky tones washed over us.

I tossed Donor my riding gear (he came over in the cage to deliver tools for tomorrows Spanner night) and off around the block he went!

Insanely jealous I was! His grin was maniac and I could hear his cackling laughter as he rode off in a puff of magic two-stroker smoke!

So many emotions. Anyway, good time had by all... and then ... zeozen turned up!

Cripes, I went over to drop some tools off, and managed to last near on 6 hours before the SWMBO started a-ringing!

And even better, I'm STILL allowed to attend tomorrow nights spanner night!

So joy of joys, much spannering has been done, and the Daisy lives. And tomorrow, we shall have a little 'ol Hornet back in the land of the living, along with a totally de-constructed Dandi donk!

It all went downhill from there....

Well anyhow, a few more piccies. Donor was a godsend since I mashed my poor little left hand and wasn't able to give my TLC to my rides.

After a while, we had BK for lunch and then went male retail therapy. Tool time porn... okay, we went to mitre 10 southgate and spent too much time wandering up and down fondling tools, perving at tool organisers and generally misbehaving in the aisles.

We were politely asked to leave by concerned employees as we took our purchases away! And a special shelf unit was bought by moi for zeozen who was text bombing Donor.

So after mitre 10 came supercheap auto and we perved at the offerings. Anyhow, left with nothing (amazing!) and tootled back home and zeozen turned up. We played on the minimoto before I threw the chain off whilst zeo rode behind to see how fast it could go (55kph and not going as fast as we normally would! eek! )

Settled into the business of assembling shelf unit... and it was a mission and a half! Three grown men taking ages to get it up! Stupid $19.83 shelf unit.. we had to dismantle it several times and disparaging remarks about each other's lack of intellectual and physical abilities! The $79.13 jobby was much better requiring only a hammer and one person in half the time!

Anyhow, night approached and we booted zeozen onto the back of Daisy for a spin. He tried hard to get it started, and when he did, he stalled it several times on the driveway. He rode up and down the cul-de-sac before we mocked him soundly and he booted it around the suburb. He came back with a grin and now wants one!

    Enough! More pics...

Ye gods no... go anywhere near our health system? I see enough of that in me day job!

S'orright, just a bit battered after losing an argument with the frame of Daisy during one of those 'I hope this bloody spanner doesn't slip' moments... full mobility, nothing floating in the joint and only sore if I make a point of beating it against solid objects. Again.

The real sucky thing is, my hand was bloody cold when I did it, and we all know how much more it hurts when one wallops a cold hand - feck we say!

Ee' by gum, oi think the scotsman refers to my hand! It is okay, just a little sore on the inner part - will be fine! Just can't do the usual ham-fisted pawings that pass for TLC by yours truly!

That's why I got Donor in to do the hard yards, 'cause he's a 'ard man!

Yeah, I figured that, just thought I'd pretend that someone actually gave a damn. I got home and (foolishly) sought sympathy from the wife, instead I got called a dumbass and laughed at.

    *sigh*
