    Intercom radio recommendations?

Hi Everyone, I am moving over to Christchurch very soon from the UK and i am bringing my k1200s BMW, the question i have is that i have a bike to bike intercom (AUTOCOM) which uses and PMR 446 Kenwood tk3101 radio. I know that i can't legally use it and i am selling it before i come over. What type of radio's do you use and you guys use is the FRS radios like the US? If not what type can i use, do you know of anyone selling and radio that i can you?

    Thanks

    Keith

    Hi there

    You can use PRS Radios

We have loads here and are cheap too
    Anything from $49 to $500

I would recommend the Uniden ones

See these webpages for more info

    Trade Me (similar to Ebay)

NZ and OZ uses the 476-477 Mhz freq band for Personal use
While the 446Mhz will work here it is allocated for the commercial sector. Unless one has the same freq to talk on all you will do is get some business upset with you.

For compatable radios for the Autocom system
