Outlook express 6.0 - not the official website, but a trustworthy source nevertheless (looked through the Microsoft download center but the usability rendered it impossible, "page 1 of 5221 results for 'Outlook Express'").

Windows Live Mail - Suposedly the Microsft "Vista Style" successor to Outlook Express

Mozilla Thunderbird - The openSource equivalent to Outlook - I use it, good if you don't require all the integration with the other Microsoft rubbish.

    I reccomend using Thunderbird personally.

Outlook should come free and all ready when you install windows. If not showing, you may have selected not to install it or it had been an uninstalled module later on.

It also comes with some (or all) versions of MS Office

Outlook express is one of the apps bill gates is trying to force you to use... there are better email applications out there...

Pegasus Mail: http://www.pmail.com - (made by a Kiwi here in Dunedin)
    Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/
    Phoenix Mail: http://sourceforge.net/projects/phxmail/

and many others... Outlook you are prone to more virus attacks due to the address book system and a of viruses, trojens and worms are target for it...

Not really prone to more viruses, it is kept pretty solidly patched.

A bit late, but if you use Thunderbird and like to leave it open I recommend you get the MinimizeToTray extension. As the name would suggest it allows you to minimise it down by the system clock on the left.

The Rome' says: Get Thunderbird FOOL!

Read the download and install instructions for help :].
