    I-Tunes help for dummies

    Hi guys

I dont have an I-pod, have no idea how they operate....but I have kids, we have i-tunes, they use it.....all good so far, no viral threats that i can find, computer is fine, but....is all that stuff they download ( not all of it is shit to be fair) stored on my poor PC?........I seem to have a HUGE lack of storage space, which I guess is slowing this little baby (the PC for you grubby friends) up some?
I really need to get up to speed, literally and figuratively. Thanks for your advice/assistance

Get a little external hard drive. Put all the children's sh1t on that.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Itunes has an autobackup that writes purchased music to removable media.

Back the lil darlin's stuff up and dump it.

yep it is posable to put itunes on a seprate usb2 external drive and there about
$150 for 250GB and thats huge............. so when you finally get them a computer they can just take the drive with them.....
the kids will have to google how to move the "itunes library" so itunes the program can find it. not sure on a pc but on a mac you can have multable librays and swap between them....

don't really have to worry about viral threats from itunes itself, considering it's programmed by apple, not microsoft or microsoft partnered companies

You can get tablets for that. They go down easier wrapped in a piece of bacon..

iTunes is not even slightly friendly. If you can avoid it, do so.

It's one of the many things that'll stop me from buying an iPod again. (Yeah yeah, i load my mp3's with winamp anyway).

I've got three of them and find iTunes and Ipods some of the best software - and are probably the favourite gadgets I have EVER used.
Great system, love it. The only problem I have with it is going crazy at the itunes store.

Grab yourself a copy of winamp. .. http://www.winamp.com.

Winamp has builtin ipod support and you can not only chuck away the piece of shit software that itunes is .. but you can get rid of the DRM as well.

See I used to use winamp all the time to source and play music, never saved it to external devices though, my worry is the amount of space that has been taken up with music downloads. I will look at getting another storage area and move all the music to that.
