Anyhoo, this thread is a bit off topic, and some people are vearing towards time machine shit rather than re-incarnation.

So I'll repeat a question Winja once asked, if you had a time machine, and went back in time, then gave yourself a hand job, is it gay, or just a wank?
A chick with as sick a sense of humour as you boys??? the mind boggles, eh??

Reincarnation is in essence the closest human kind has ever come to be able to contemplate time travel. Especially if you consider the fact that some believe us able to retain residual memories from past lives, even determining our personality traits better than genetic itself: hence the concept of soulmates and the likes...

In my past life, I was a guy...Does that start to answer your earlier comment maybe?

the ape in question from a few pages back is called a bonobo. i think either 2nd or 3rd closest relative.

The place I work at follows the anthroposophical teachings of Dr Rudolph Steiner and actually believes in reincarnation as part of it's philosophy. Seriously!
Nice place to work at but sometimes it takes you out of your comfort zone (like this morning when I was in a training course which covered the whole reincarnation thing.) Check it out here if you dare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthroposophy

Uumm...intriguing! Thanks for that...I'm not looking at finding myself a new religion, just curious of what's out there in the way of beliefs, and this is an interesting take on it!
Shall make for good reading when I get a minute.

On second thoughts I'd come back as one of these MODs I hear so much about. Apparently they can do what every they want and have total power

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

The Bhagavad Gita (Ancient Indian text) states " Death is inevitable for the living....and birth is inevitable for the dead" - Hindus, Bhuddists, etc have been into reincarnation for a long time. Add them up, and you are talking about a fair slice of the earths population. Wonder if they know something we dont?

Exactly!! It just takes open mindedness to see all angles of the picture...and what if the concept of reincarnation was simply an analogy for life experiences, rebirths throughout a mind's lifetime?? Sorry, I'll stop here cos that is another thread...
