    My kind of person.

Why exert yourself, let the bastards come to you and feel the wrath of
1 1/2 lbs of C4 powering 1000 steel ball bearings.

When in the NZ Artillery all those years ago we had a round we got to fire occasionally.

    HEAP

    High Explosive Anti Personel.

5000 steel flechettes wrapped round 33lb of high explosive set off by a radar detonator.

Chopped down trees and deadly to 150 meters.

Well if you're going to insist on cutlery, I'll have a 1796 pattern heavy cavalry sabre.....such a brutal weapon the French complained about it apparently

    ***edit***
Decided to check the "apparently" (google is your friend), and it was the (curved) light cavalry sabre that the French allegedly complained about....I'll still take the big straight one though.

Maxim gun - the main reason the poms had an Empire, especially in South Africa and Rhodesia (aka Zimbabwe) by decimating the locals the Matebele wars of 1893 as well as other prime locations.

You go ahead and bring your Falchion my friend, I will face you or anyone else happily with my 13th century Scottish broadsword and a shield of my choosing, I assure you that you will leave the field embarrassed at the very least.
Having said that I award you my respect for showing up with a decent choice of weapon, and an extra point of respect for having the courage to act as a man should (in person) for any grievance.

Anyway, my fav and I was lucky enough to have owned one is the Rem 700 chambered for .300 WSM

Re the muzzle-brake: very effective but hoo-boy, the cloud of dust/leaves etc when fired from prone position.
