    About the Yamaha Jog 50

I am plannin 2 get a yamaha jog 50 in the next couple of weeks.
I just viewed a 2007 model which has only done 40kms (basically brand new).
the retail price is 2100 plus on-road costs, and the seller is telling me that the lowest he would sell it for is 1600.. although i might try to get it down to 1500.

i was just wondering whether that would be a reasonable price to you guys? as i can kind of c most people on this forum are pretty experiened with their bikes, and seem pretty friendly.

Also i was wondering if i was to take it for servicing around the auckland city area, is there any good advises for me? trustworty shops around here that you guys have been to?

sorry if similiar threads hav been posted before, but i have been searching for similar threads and this forum has helpd me out alot! these r just the left over queries.

and if anyone could give me tips or suggestions on the jog 50. that would be great!!

Thanx alot so much for yous time
and would apreciate alot if you could help out!!

another opinion could come from Cheeky Hobson who just bought a Jog from a dealer out in Henderson, Akl for a bargin price like that. Send her a message and ask her.

    Price

You won't go wrong at that price. Trying to sell one myself (my sons) for that at 18 months old in top condition.

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

That's a brilliant price, if I were you, I'd be all over that deal like a fat kid on a buffet table. I got a "new old stock" 06 'Zuki for the same price and was very happy with that.

hey thanx for all the reply

Ive read alot of posts about the derestricting of the scooters.. but 2 b honest i dont really think i will manage to succesfuly finish the job without damaging the scooter ay.. is there any place i can take it to in auckland 2 get it done for some small amount of cash when i get it? sorry if im asking 2 much.. but u kno students.. im always low on my $$ ..

de-restricting it should be fine as long as i dont speed over 60km right?
i dont really think i'll be going 2 get my bike licence in the short term to be honest heh.

but i should only get that done after the warranty has expired ay?

im waiting for the sellers reply regarding the warrenty.. hopefully they have it

The other thing to do, is ask the seller if it is restricted or not, and if it isn't if he will "throw in" derestriction to seal the deal.

After all, he does want you to spend your money with him, not somebody else around the corner... plus of course you'll need helmet, jacket, gloves etc. Chances are if he makes the sale of the Scoot, he then gets a shot at selling you all the other goodies

yup i c thanx again for the replies

the seller has txtd me back and said that they do have the warranty until 20/03/08

the helmet is included, not so sure about the lock, still trying 2 find that out@@ dont think there r any jackets or gloves involved tho aye@@

yeah i am really getting pumped up about this deal from all the feedback that you guys have given to me. heh

hopefully i can get a deal for round about 1500 asap. cheerz since they said there r other people wanting it.. dont know if it's true or not tho :S
