    XZ14 cam tensioner

Anyone out there familiar with the issues associated with swapping out the factory oil pressured tensioners? I have seen a fair whack of pros and cons for manual adjusters but the call appears even (for and against). I am interested if any 'locals' have an opinion and have (or havent) made the swap and the logic/upshot of it all.

What other modifications on your Busa are you running to need to run a Manual Tensioner? 1441 Kit or a turbo?
From what I know they aren't esential unless you are running big horsepower numbers where its possible for the chain to jump teeth on its own. They look easy to install. I will definetely be putting a APE Pro series in on my build for peice of mind, along with a Vance and Hines cam chain. With basic NA mods though I don't really see the point, take the money and buy a quick turn throttle. 2nd best mod I ever did to mine.

Hi - Not a Busa. Just picked up a Kawa ZX14 and it has the 'standard' cam rattle on start up. Even thou it that goes away after a few seconds, I am polling to see if anyone has installed a APE and what their opinion is/was.
