    ZXR250A: Running probs

I have been building the ZXR today and finally got it started. It roars into life with the choke on and then will idle for a while by itself (1min max). The problem is that when i open the throttle (even just a little) its dies on me. Anyone know what im doing wrong?
everything is hooked up sweet so im not sure why it wont start....

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Sounds like a fuel line problem. (how much gas do you have in it ) Do you still have the choke on when you throttle up ?? Could be a number of things but try these first. I also experienced problems when it was running on 3 cylinders so check that all four are running.

when it was running the exhaust only seemed to come from 3 of the 4 pipes. I took the choke off before throttling up everytime (let it idle by itself first). Fuel tank is sweet, about 1/8th full maybe more... and there is fuel in the hoses too. Lack of back pressure? i dont have the 4-1 and muffler on...

YOU DON"T HAVE THE MUFFLER ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put the muffler on man sheesh. It should run ok with out the can but you need the 4 into one for pressure. Try that and then see what happens. That would also be screwing with your idle and just about everything else. Check the plug on the cylinder that ain't working as well.
