    Police action

Well disability has been a subject this weekend...............

Now as you all know I am not a Police basher but here is something that happened about 20 minutes ago.

Was in New World, noticed a non-permitted car in a Disability Space. So I waited for about 15 minutes.

There was Police identity card hanging from the mirror....mmmm, I thought.

A couple with 2 kids approach the car...I asked the guy whether he was a Police Officer, he pointed to his partner so I asked if she was a Police Office and she said yes.

I pointed out that she was parked in a disability bay etc, she was indifferent a and when I told her I had her number and would report her she said she was not bothered.

When I asked her whether she knew she had parked in a Disabled bay she actually admitted she knew...didn't even have the bits to say it was dark etc.

So called Takapuna Police, gave them details. I was given the option to make an official complaint or did I want them just to have a word. I went for the latter cause all I aim to do is make a point

Anyway, 5 minutes later (the sargeant must have known her) he calls back, says he has had a word with her and she has passed on her apologies.

Not impressed with her but good on the Police Sargeant for taking action.

She obviously did not take me seriously......was probably surprised to get a call from the Sargeant eh?..........

She might be told to write you a letter!!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

ok... how do you know he called her? Have you any proof other than what he said? Just that bosses on here have received complaints, done nothing, coz they think the complainant is a busy body, etc etc. You have to see it both ways...

    I'm a realist

edit: ah, you did it in person, I thought you phoned... but you can't take fingerprints over the phone, now can you?

Break in and steal it? My thoughts exactly, but make sure there are no cameras around ... it's them that gets away with things not your ordinary mostly law abiding citizen.

    what he said!

mate, this is the 1st time im going to dissagree with you. why should she get away with parking in a disabled bay when she has no need to?

you got a camera on your fone? well use it man!

if it were me, or most of us on kb then we would get fined and fucked for parking in a disabled space and you know it! so dont let them get away with it.

    sorry rant over......................and breathe..

I've found the perfect fix for this one Graham.

    Park behind them.

Get out of the car and go and do your business. Leave the Disabled pass clearly displayed in your car which is neatly parked behind the car that doesn't have one.

As a user of a Disabled parking pass, I'm no longer surprised to see the normals using our parks.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

A letter maybe to her district commander would probably be more effective and sensible, after all it was just a parking issue after all. GB complain in writing, say you rang and had a phone call back etc, but take it a step up the ladder eh? Not the "OFFICIAL" PCA thing, but a formal letter that has to be acknowledged a bit higher up the food chain

Good on you for taking action and making a appropriate choice. I bet she won't do that again.

Thats what my brother does, regularly.

Just tonight I saw a black Mercedes (lowered, blacked out windows etc, mags) parked in the disabled park outside the Sunnynook Foodtown. Young punk behind the wheel, his able bodied (very much so) girlfriend jogged to the grog shop........

Maybe I should'a keyed the Merc?
