Help, my bike smells like cookies?

Over the past couple of days I have noticed a smell like burning cookies as I ride my bike around town. It's been a bit wet lately so lots of steam off the engine. But I'm not sure how to explain the smell?
Kind of like when you burn hokey pokey
(or set your pillow on fire.. but that's another story.... :S)

    Any thoughts?

    SERIOUSLY,

Only when it is raining / wet or all the time? My SV smells funny when there is water boiling off the radiator when it is hot. If all the time, try having a look for something on the exhaust pipes.

I once spilled a 1kg bag of sugar on my bike, and a lot of it ended up on the flat spot where the two exhast pipes meet. I just left it, there was plenty of dust and gravel under there anyway, but I didn't count on the burning smell. Quite yummy actually!
Sadly it only lasted a few days.

You've picked up a chunk of something edible and cookie-like from the road is all I can guess. Unless some little kid has been munching cookies on your bike without you knowing-is your bike out of your view in the public area for any length of time?

Over the last couple of days, have you a 'Bing' sound?....sort of like an oven timer...this sound could provide crucial evidence to the burning issue...

Had a putrid smell from my bike for a couple of days.. bit like burnt cat piss combined with sulpher & fried dead bird.. kinda smell..

pulled all the fairings off, had a good look around.. washed & waterblasted the crap outta her.. anyway.. next day on my merry way to the Greymouth Street Races.. & she just up & ferkin died on me.. one second, 130ks.. next second, nothing.. & the smell was still there!!

Fried the CDI Unit, regulator rectifier, battery, all the bulbs, Rev counter, fuel & temp gagues, dash lights.. everybloodything... $900 later

soooo.. moral of the story.. get it checked out.. BEFORE something bigger happens!!
