Pacific Motorcycle Club, the ones who run a bit of a race series at Taupo.

Let us know what they say Nicki.

    Thumbs down

From PMCC newsletter that arrived today. Someone might want to put these in the Events calendar thingie.

Taupo Race track booked for ...

    16 Sep 07 - Track 2
    18 Nov 07 - Track 3
    3 Feb 08 - Track 2
    30 March 08 - Track 1 & 2 (big track)

    Quote from newsletter
"Options are bieng considered for whether the Taupo track dates should be run as races or track days. Given the complications of running a good race series including a full compliment of flag marshals, scrutineering, signing in, recovery vehicles, transponder timing setups and race officials....... discussions taking place at the monthly club meeting"

I think that means that unless we help them out, offer to marshal and assist with admin then the races might be canned.

I just got an email reply... meeting is tuesday night so we will find out the details about the series after that.... yay!
although it looks like the 1st round is the weekend before the 2 day round of VMCC.... might be a nice warm up for the endurance race

Had a lenghty conversation with Brian Morgan last night,It seems the club are having issues finding helpers and therefore there will be no race meeting on the 14th of September as stated earlier,They are thinking of running a track day on that date instead.I advised him to post a thread on this site too see what sort of interest there would be as there are a number of other trackdays happening at this time of year and they cant afford a financial disaster,So when their thread appears you better let them know your interested otherwise that wont happen either. There is some talk of them running a 3 round series with the remaining dates if they can get enough helpers,Seems the younger members of their club are not interested in getting involved as organisers and the older guys are... well getting older and want to move on.Cheers Billy
