(i have had a quick look but cant find a thread, also am unable to use search)
i am seriously considering doing a track day. BUT i want proper tuition from someone qualified to give said tuition, not just to turn up and be told to get on with it! (i have heard that is what happens a lot of the time?)
can anyone give me any pointers as to where i can get some good information on this please.

So you want to do a training day? A track day is exactly that...a day at the track, not a turn up and expect to be taught how to ride.
Get hold of the Honda Riders Club. They do some of the best training days, and even have Aaron Slight as the main instructor! Could you ask for more?
Usually cost $120 (non riders club members) and includes Cooked lunch and a full day at the track! Not bad if you ask me.
Theres one coming up at the end of September at Manfeild too.

another question (or 2 lol), can i wear cordura gear or do i have to be in leathers? what will i need to do to the bike (keeping it road legal) to be able to take it on the track?

There's a trackday at Taupo on Sunday(2nd). It's the most fun you can have an no where near intimidating. Just give it a go, you wont regret it.
