I won't do a full write up for this race day. 1 because my body is still aching and can barely type and 2 because the race day for my self was less than perfect...
For the first time, I couldn't get my body to perform to my needs while riding a bike. I knew I was weak because I got sick but I didn't know how weak I had really become. I went out on practice. Set a reasonable time. Came back and did race 1 which was OK considering that I was just riding a bike for the first time after getting back from my holiday. In race 2 I got the feel for things a bit and managed to drop the personal best by only a little bit. In race 2 I also had 2 near high sides probably because I hardly got any sleep and was still in Jet lag mode...
Half way through the 3rd race though, my body just gave up. I was barely able to hold on to the bike properly and I had to brake early to try and reduce the strain put on my arms... etc etc..
I missed the last race in F2 on purpose cause I was finding it hard to even walk properly. I still did the last race for F1 cause I got lil bit of streght back from taking a break. During that last race though, I couldn't even push the bars the other way (counter steer) so for the hair pin and turn one I just let the bike turn in by it self really slowly. All I did was go round and round the track hoping to get a chequred flag asap.
Frustrating was what yesterday was for me. I knew I could go a lot faster but trying any harder would have probably meant a crash, given the condition I was in.
It was a crap day for me but the conditions were awesome for the day (weather and temperature etc). So, most took full advantage of that and had a great time. One good thing about missing out on that F2 race was that I got to watch the guys race from the bench. Fuck, it was good to watch nicko specailly!!
A big thanks to my brother for managing all the paper work for the race day while I was away and also for faxing me my race licence on race day because I had taken last years one with me for some reason... Another big thanx to andy1 for comming with me and helping me out with everything! Thanx to nicko for taking my bike down.
And ofcourse thanx to Vic Club for organising it and all the officials responsible for organising it all.
