I agree and it also pisses me off - the other thing that pisses me off is seeing bikes Pass on the left, or, bikes passing me on the left when riding in groups - when you hear someone coming its natural to pull slightly to the left to let them through, I did this one day but the guy was coming up the left side and had to ride the outside white line. We had a wee discussion later but he actually raised it as being dangerous and that he'd had a shock so that was good.
I saw a bike leaving Dunedin last weekend or the one b4 - an MT01 passed a car on the left at the bottom of Saddle Hill heading South - just freaking stupid.

Nuff of that - are the Dunedin biker girls having their girls night out tonight??? AND did they get Delphinus booked for a performance????

Nah we put it off till next Saturday some double bookings. Still got Sunday free tho. By sounds of things comin out with us on Saturday could be a less scarry prospect than being round you and Virago on Sunday.

Okay, the poll is closed - another victory for democracy.

Popular choice is next Sunday evening (12 August), with the the venue to be Waihola. If anyone has objections, speak now or forever hold your peace...

Weather permitting, some may want to ride, so I suggest an early meal (around 6.00 - 6.30ish). This could work in with an afternoon ride.

I suggest that we go on this date regardless of weather. Mutley and I would be happy to take our cages, if anyone wants a sober driver from Dunedin.

So - Waihola pub is it? I'll contact them later in the week to let them know.

Free2B, please be assured that no harm will come to either the goat or the cucumber...

Waihola pub definitely - don't think the Black Swan over the road is quite up to what we want.
Yep definitely no harm to the goat - I've had the bastard in training all week and this ones a real stroppy git that can definitely look after itself. Now just how to strengthen these gumboots??????

Good call, I was thinking they might appreciate a call to 'warn' them there might be a bunch of "southern redneck yahoos" going to occupy their pub.

And oh, yeah on Sunday I want a full report on the cucumber and goat stuff...

Whadya mean you want a full report - didn't Virago book you in with your handcuffs?, you're meant to be right in the middle of this important ritual

Yeah I did, but the only ones he wasn't using this week were the pink fluffy ones...

Okay, just phoned the Waihola Tavern and told them to expect a loud and unruly mob at 6ish on Sunday. They are putting on extra security staff, and some feed for the goat.

I'm hoping that Mutley and I will be okay for the outing, we've both had the nasty lurgy that's going around. Mutley lost her voice altogether today, it's been delightfully peaceful all day... . Seriously though, it's quite a nasty virus, so we don't want to be passing it on. On that basis, I may have to get Ruralman to do some of the more "intimate" parts of the ceremony...

Speaking of which, how was your actual birthday, Delphinus?

CBs step-bro runs the Waihola Camping Ground behind the pub - will accommodate those KBers too wobbly to get home!!

Not that ANYBODY will get wobbly

    I shall be there.

although we're going to have to find something else to do to/for Delph, he wasn't too fond of the traditional 21st tattoo idea.

Chris, looking at the weather forecast, I don't think you'll be the only one going by cage...

Our offer still stands for anyone wanting transport (although our cage could be more of a mobile snot bucket...). No takers????

Okay, I had a call from the Waihola Tavern today, asking that we make it 6.30 rather than 6.00 - apparently they have a bus tour in for 5.00 which should be out by 6.30. There's always the bar for the early arrivals - get the first round lined up, okay?

It sounds like the place will be jumpin' - they've got LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC!!! Yeeharrrr! RM could stay in his work clothes and be in costume... Mind you, we may need to keep a close eye on the goat...!
