Having just bought my first Ducati I noticed the main loom connector lurking just beside the headlight.
Now, riding in the rain at speed is like holding a waterblaster a metre away the whole time and I would expect to see some corrosion at this connection after a few seasons. Bit of a concern as my bike is almost new and this is a factory positioning. The connection goes in some part into the digital instrument pod, could have developed into an expensive error if it had shorted in the future.
So if you own one of these machines- is yours the same, or did mine go down the line during smoko?
I will tape it up smartly, and have one of those neato little farings on order.
BTW- this is a 2003 800ie model.
