What drugs have you trialled??

When younger and more bullet proof I "trialled" some of them.

Alcohol: After 20 or so Steinies I sort of lost it. When I stayed with JD alone I was 10 feet tall and bullet proof until about 1/2 way down the bottle.

Gin I get all sentimental...(I found my ex when drenched in gin...she probably liked that part of me [today I am hiding it])

Grass: Never liked it. Just got me paranoid. Every time it was used at a party everyone left at 12 midnight (They all got paranoid I assume) The few times I trialled I told them to close the door after them. But if I am honest the sex was not bad...

Mushrooms: Best part is going out in the paddocs fiding them. Fark, did we have some good times (in the paddocs)!!! But when we found them, we used to eat them and read poems.

LSD: Some of my weirdest memories are as a result of this strange drug. But don't let that stop U. When alzheimer starts attacking U need stuff that breaks through. All in all, it was fun. And if U have no memories, what have U??. My opinion? Well, try it, I have never known of someone addicted to LSD. It's like the roller coaster. Fun, but not something U do all the time.

Speed: The one of my choice. I could go for 3 days and drink litres. And I still remember every minute. Always remember a party when I walked in to the prez room and on the middle of the table there was a tower..

Danze stuff: Never tried., Probably to old for it.

The new stuff at the liquour store: (The legal stuff) Had been working non stop for 5 days. I was a wreck! And I had this chick coming to stay. So what to do??? Get some legal "stay awake" i figured. I did. I stayed awake. But my performance was zilkch. And she was not impressed with this guy who could talk the house down but not perform. Need to tell U that this stuff is harder to come down from then speed or coke. Takes days!!!

Coke: What a buzz!!! Has to be the one!!!! ( I once danced alone in my bedroom for 4 hours to Scorpions and UFO after my g/f fell asleep...and that was after...,)

Horse: Never been there. Never will.

"Get hard" pills: There is 2 types around. Have trialled both. Same same. No real advantage if U are OK, as they do not make U hornier. But if U have a problem with the cementing process, then why not?

At this stage I would like to say (to the ones that go "whoooo", that I have never injected and never will)

But it was a boring medical-type drug, so it wasn't very fun, and I had to give a blood sample every day for two weeks so they could test something or other.

In 1977, as a quite innocent Kiwi lad abroad, I arrived in London. I was a very young 21 year old and London was at the peak of the punk era. I very quickly immersed myself in that culture.

For 3 years in "The Smoke" I was off my head.

In answer to your question it would be much easier to answer whith what i havent tried.

Heaviest route I went was "Chasing the Dragon".

Knocked it all pretty much on the head when I realised i had a problem with "highballs" (speed and cocaine mixed).

In later years I just partook socially with a once a year treat of a gram or two of coke.

The only thing i can say catagorically is that I never took a needle. Real phobia about these.

Have done marijuana back in the days of Buddha sticks, and Valium/Bourbon. I'm not into mind-altering substances, but subscribe to the 'no harm - no foul' philosophy.

Never been around coke, and never been tempted by diacetylmorphine. I'll happily give myself IMs all day long, but the idea of sticking needles in my own veins creeps me out.

I believe that "chasing the Dragon" refers to Opium, generally smoked...

I did a few things quite a few years while in Amsterdam...

Nowadays, I'm barely ever getting drunk and have the occasional cigarette.
I'm a mother and a bit of a control freak with myself, so mind altering is no longer what I need...
