Roughly 50km south of Kaikoura or 10km north of Parnassus on SH1 ( about .5km in off the road on the seaward side)
Just north of the Leader Rd turn-off

For those that missed the thread decribing the venues, I have found the Staging post (see below) and I can tell ya what Ota's is like: 10 2-3 bunk rooms, lounge, kitchen, showers etc (see pic)

I however know nothing of Mt Summers... anyone care to elaborate?

Ok.. I've just phoned Gypsy to check details again.. & she has "pencilled" us in for the 8th of Dec!

For those who wish to arrive on the Fri night, that is fine also! If you stay both Fri & Sat night, it will cost you $10.00 per night. For those who stay just the Sat night it will cost you $15.00 for the one night.

There is beds for approx 34 people. This includes several cabins, a back packers, & a couple of caravans. There is a huge gorgeous park in which to put ya tents up also.

The big in ground concrete swimming pool will be ready for use, as will the spa pool! also a tennis court!

They have done a lot of tidying up & upgrading the facilities of late also & it sounds great what Gypsy was saying! There are a couple of toilet/shower blocks, & 2 well stocked kitchens for use. & a spit roast pit!! who could bring a sheep/pig????!!!!!

Trust me folks.. it's an AWESOME place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you won't be disappointed!!

Plains are having our next doo there beginning of Sept, so I will get some photos then & put them up so you can get an idea, if this is the chosen venue for the kb doo!!

    Cool

Gonna make a huge effort to get the time off for this one (assuming the Staging Post). Many favourite roads from the old stamping ground based in Nelson-Murchison,Lewis,Takaka Hill..the list goes on. Probably make a West Coast tour out of it to avoid the BORING road to ChCH!!
