    FS: 1999 Mercedes A160

My parents are needing to sell this to help finance their upcoming trip to England and America. My mum now has a company car and as such this car is no longer needed. Has been a good car to drive and has recently had a service done, kinda sporty for a car of its size, has tiptronic gearbox, ABS, airbags etc etc etc.

He's asking $9500 buy now, but make an offer.

i wouldn't know, i've taken it for a little 'race' up my mates road and it handled quite nicely, far less body roll than my 1986 corolla!

There's no Moose in NZ. Maybe a couple of Elk in the South Is.

So there's no problem is there?

They were all recalled after the infamous "Moose Test" and were fitted with ESP.
The moose test was never actually a test as such. A journalist was road testing an A160 (I think somewhere in Scandinavia) when he came round a corner to find a moose in the middle of the road. When he swerved to avoid it, the car flipped. Hence the moose reference.

No; they really do a 'moose test' in those countries. If I recall correctly, the problem was with the lowest spec model of the A class, it had taller tyres than the other models.

I stand corrected. I must have been misinformed. The journalist bit was right, though.
