    I'd say so,basically the whole front's a writeoff....
We had a good look at the road, the only thing we could see was the solid whiteline(real thick and smooth)and by the angle of the slidemarks Zed musta been real close to it.Do you remember if you hit the line Zed?There was a black line on it in about the right spot, but there were others a bit further back too.
Hope you're not too sore today.....

Sorry to hear about your off Zed. Good to hear your ok and you gear did it's job.

Hope you don't mind if I cry over your baby, you just got her looking so good too. Have you had a chance to look at her yet? Did the crash bungs not help?

Looks like you could be going shopping (there's always an upside to everything).

I don't recall being that close to the white line, more towards the centre of the lane. Andy the community cop said that corner has tripped many a motorist in the past. :sneaky2:

I'm not in that much pain today, doctor gave me some strong pain killers and I managed to get a reasonable sleep last night. Thanks for your concern.

Yes the gear saved me but got destroyed in the process. I really liked that jacket & helmet!

There would have probably been more damage had it not been for the crash bung, however the LH bung was reduced in size by a third and broke off!

Sorry to hear the news, Zed. I can certainly sympathise - I know what you're feeling right now. All I can suggest is that you look on the positive side - no serious injury. Everything else can be replaced - it's just time and money...

Glad to hear your not in to much pain Zed, I tell ya that crash sounded like it was goin to be a lot worse.
When I heard the sound of plastic & metal hittin the road I had just got through the corner & looked in my mirror to see zeds bike followed by zed slidin off the road.
And that corner caught a few people out,I was comin up to the corner really quickly then realised how tight it was and just had to crank the bike right over, sam said he had a slide on the same corner & death said he was right into the corner before he realised how tight it was.

Was good to finally meet ya,hope to see you on the road again soon.

    Sorry to hear that Zed.

I've gotta say all these bins lately is making me want to ride really carefully and forget about trying to be fast.

It's a real shame the bike is written off, when I saw the pic, I thought it was just fairing damage, but obviously not.

    Get well soon.

Bummer, Zed. Sorry to hear about that.
Sounds like we got the best ride in after all, then.
And here I was thinking we'd missed out on all the fun.
    No, not really.
We had a great day, despite the ticket, then topped it off by going to see "Caligula" at the Maidment.
Funny thing is, despite being left behind by all you guys, Mrs FS said to me when I stopped at Wellsford on the way North, "You can go faster if you like; don't let me hold you up!" (Didn't tell her I'd hit 180 in spots, and she didn't seem to realise....):confused2
Well, Zed, I hope you get everything sorted, and heal fast.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Indeed. I dropped back to the back of the pack (deliberately) as I was getting sucked into going faster than I felt was safe. The FahrtSturm was a bit awkward to get used to, being only the second longish ride we'd had 2-up, and with 150kg of passengers, a bumpy (and unfamiliar) road, and some nasty wind gusts, it was a bit of a handful. I didn't want to end up in a ditch with my valuable passenger...

Sorry to hear about your ride.
Hope your not too much the worse for wear & get your bike back up & running again soon.
It's good to hear Kiwi bikers helping each other when needed.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

Hope everything gets sorted. Once again, shout if you need help with anything.
