    Key cocks it up.

His first speech to the National Party bough some major bloopers.

"Under a Labour Government I lead, child abusers will be severely punished." That's the first. Seems Key is not too sure what Party he wants to be in.

But I find this more disturbing.

"After tax wage cuts we'll ensure that they have much a greater income to service those mortgaged or to save for a home," he said in response to a question from TVNZ's Fran Mold.

This is being passed of as another blooper but I'm more concerned about the mindset of this man.

Vote this man in at your peril.

Because of course, Comrade Clarke is so much better. I don't think I have to go into the myria do fuck-ups, blunders, bloopers, illegal actions and scandals her and her Politburo have been involved with, do I?

Maybe Sanx, but they are some pretty horrendous "bloopers", you have to admit.

Vote for him at your peril, eh? You mean, Skyrider, you're suggesting a vote for Labour is a better plan than a vote for National? It's more a case of "what have Labour done right" lately than "What public speaking accidents John Key has had".

I don't want anyone telling me who to vote for. I will make my own decision about who I think is a better bet at leading the country. It may be a case of the lesser of two evils... but I have my opinion as to which of the two that is.

He didn't tell you who to vote for. He suggested who it may be risky to vote for - at the extreme interpretation, who not to vote for. Last I looked, that still leaves several.

If you don't like either of them, don't vote for either of them. The stronger the smaller parties are, the more control they can exert over the bigger ones. Then it's just a matter of figuring out which way you want them to push ...

Of course, if you don't like any of those either - bearing in mind none of them is likely to actually win, so there's not much need to fear that - you can just abstain.

Not voting at all is an apathy vote for the status quo. If you don't vote you can't complain about the current state of affairs - bugger that. I will exercise my right to bitch and moan by voting.

There is more out there than just labour and national...
If people didnt think of the "i dont want x therefore I have to vote y" and instead voted for who they think represents them most it might lead to a interesting (in a good way) government

EDIT: Not that there is much choice... Who's up for starting a KB Party?

I thought the 'leaders' were just spokespeople for the party? Would go to show the whole party is fucked up.

I don't understand why many people like Key. "Oh, he seems like a nice guy"... but he looks so slimey...

Have to join an energy company or some other conglomerate, kiss some arse, become CEO, show how I can be a good leader by cutting costs, firing workers and keeping investors happy and then I can become a politician. That or hug some trees but that wouldn't get me into a party with any fire power.

Well thankfully these days we don't actually have to vote for either of those.
