    Rejetting 250 carb to 370?

    have put a 1978 dr 370 into a 1986 dr250 frame,
running it on the 250 carb as needed to clean up the 370 carb.
spent hours cleaning up the 370 carb and upon fitting it is 12 mm higher
and wont fit as the frame is to close, bugggar

will the carb run on a 30 deg angle?

can i drill out the main needle jet tube ( 40 mm long )
    the 250 carb has 12 x .5mm holes = 6mm
    the 370 carb has 20 x .5mm holes = 10 mm

    have a .75mm drill bit,
    thought i could enlarge all 250 carb holes to .75mm = 9mm

am i dreaming here, or shall i cut, weld and grind the frame some more ???
and put the original carb on??

Find a manifold that works with the 370carb.
Buy some jets to swap around.
Make an adapter plate for the differing diameters.
    Swear/sulk/whine, and ultimately triumph.
