Wasn't a bad way to spend the weekend, Awesome ride up , some spirited riding from springs junction Big nite fri, drinking and bullshit with some chap camping next to me, one of his possum storys lasted 2hrs?? (according to dangerous) .Great ride over to takaka. CRAP band on saturday nite , .Sunday ride home was wet to start with Nelson to Havelock, Then lovely and warm & fine the rest of the way.Great ride svboy, joined a few others at kiakoura . Home safe & sound. Message on the answer phone from my mate who was meant to come up saturday, saying his ducati won't start, cranking but not firing?? taken in to the doctors today, maybe FI fault. Man was it hot on sunday afternoon in chch !!! great for drying out the tent.....

Well well, easy fix uh. a little oil leak is no drama uh, unlike some other unnamed people with leaks, and half the bike has to come to bits to get anywhere near it...

That's not so bad, pretty lucky even. But why have you got your bike far enough apart to see its insides?

I would have thought you'd just wipe the leaky area with some thinners and then smear a shit-load of that real bright orange RTV silicone over it?

Waaay easier than breaking out the socket-set and having to buy a new rocker cover gasket...
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........

You'd think you would notice when someone nicks your rocker cover though.
