Saw you this morning Jim at lights in Maungaraki, but I didn't expect you to notice the van going past.
Don't you look at my accountant.

It's not off a Mark3 Zephyr is it?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Right era, but it's not off a car. Thought the Zephyr had a long vertical one (ooeer!).

What is this "van" you speak of?

I also feel crappy so I'm looking at vehicles today, not through them. Sorry I didn't see you.

The correct answer is, it's off a No Pharking Eyed Deer.
Either that, or the Lesser-spotted Pixellated Mystery Blur. 1968 model, I reckon.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Well I could go get a better pic at lunchtime, but I am waaay too lazy for that.

So, the answer is it is off a V50 Belugasomething or other scooter. Just the rear is visible, but it was a big sticky outy thing & found whilst rummaging in a box of tail lights. Almost used a C50 one (typical Honda stepthrough scooter made millions of, the V50 was Yamaha’s version. Never seen one going but a friend found one, tip I think).

So I’ll drink the beer myself, thanks for guessing.

I hope not too, but like a new bike I’ll get over the fear of scratching it & just ride it like I used to. I’ve had the bike about 8 years & decided after riding a few other bikes that I still really liked it & what the hell was I doing selling it?

Actually I’ve already dropped it in the garage before it even made it outside. Pushed it forward, sidestand flicked up on the other side without me hearing it & I laid it over & it kept going.

Luckily there was a can waiting to catch the handlebar at just the right point to avoid a major mishap. Amazingly nothing was scratched, god was thanked & I went off inside a gibbering mess till I composed myself.

Looking forward (or maybe not) to weighing it.
