MTK RIDE: Friday 10th August
I feel like going for a decent ride tomorrow, but this is weather dependant. The forcast looks 50/50 at the moment. Dont mind small showers, but if it tips it down it will be cancelled. I will post up in the morning re weather.
Where: Meeting at shell westgate
When: Friday 10th August - 11am
Who: Anyone thats keen, 250/learners welcome and 'fast' riders... everyone!
No idea of a route yet, I figure as I get lost easily we could all decide at westgate (I will bring my map). Stopping for late lunch somewhere and im thinking about a good 3-4 hour ride (longer if people are keen).
I suggest making sure your bike is in a condition to do a few hundred k's, and is all oiled a lubed etc. Check your tires and pressures - this can be done at shell if you need help.
I know BD has done a similar event with a donation for Mack, but I will be working on his ride so I figure as I have the day off tomorrow why not encourage people to 'bring an envelope" and I will get them to MTK tomorrow too!
I say learners are welcome, as we will be keeping to legal speeds throughout the ride and I dont want any more tickets
If you have any thoughts on a route you may post them on here, but final route will be decided at Shell Westgate (big brothers watching).
Be good to meet some new KB'ers, but keep it legal folks.. no dangerous overtaking or showing off please - you will be asked to leave.
