    Signal light GSX400XS?

    Hello,

can anybody tell me what this Signal on a GSX400 Impulse means, or the Reason?? better - Solution??

The second Signal Light from Left between "HighBeam" and "Turn" was for a short Time Red, with 8.000rpm. Signals just once a Time??

    Thanks

    Probably oil pressure warning light.
Red lights are for something critical. Best check you have oil level correct, etc. Or get a shop to check further.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Thanks, this could be, because it was after changing the Oil and Filter.
But the Engine was warm and running since about 10min...???

The Signal is scripted with Japanese Letters??

    Thanks

I'm only guessing, since I don't know your bike. But, red lights are WARNINGS of some sort. It's either oil pressure or water temperature (unlikely in your case), so therefore something is not right in the oil department. Get a mechanic to check things.

Can't remember where it was (either top right or left) but my one had a red light that came on at 80km/h - Japanese spec bike. Damn annoying at night - a couple of pieces of tape fixed it.

Oooops...true that. But the OP doesn't seem to suggest that in this case.

    japanese letters

I think, the Temp could not be, because there is a meter.

I have to test the note with the 80m/pH... guess not why...???

But as i said, Oil pressure could be the probably senseful one.

    bye

That's the puppy alright. The light I was talking about was the one at the top left or right of the rev counter. The oil light is just below the water temp gauge.

    59hp at 12,000rpm eh - I'm sure mine had more like 60...

Great site Bonez - I think there's even a picture of one of my Bandits on it somewhere...

Seems the "Impulse" moniker is still being used on a naked 400 bike. Same donk(different to the 400X but still water cooled) as the 400 Katanas(1100/1000/750 lookalikes) we see here.http://www.suzukicycles.org/GSX-seri...-Impulse.shtml

Nup I think Gunnyrob had an X too. Seem to remember a ride or two with his big butt on one before he got his GPX750.

My old girl: fibreglass copy of later model's fairing, custom paint and seat re-done after paint job too. Did about 22,000km on her, commuting and thrashing.
