I'd read heaps of great stuff about the Avon's and I love them. Million times better than the kenda front and whatever rear tyres I had before.

They're great tyres for the money and anything more is probably overkill on a smaller bike.

No worries. I'm just waiting on a bunch of stuff to show up, and then needs to be bolted on. I'm waiting on the following:

    - Tail light assembly
    - Rear panels (In gold color )
    - Screen (Coming from Hong Kong so may be a while)

    What I need:
    - Left side switch block so I can actually turn on my headlights. ATM I can only turn on my gauge lights and tail lights and indicate.

    - Put tail light & subframe in when it arrives

    - Need to unbend bracket that holds gauges (its bent inwards and a little to the left)

    - Need to weld bracket that holds mirror back together then get right mirror.

    - Somehow unbend pillion seat things so it sits properly when locked

    - Then fix fairings & tank, and probably do some headlight alignment.

The most surprising part is that the can isn't damaged. I'm amazed.

The front (and side) fairing is fiberglass, and according to certain people, I can fix it up with a 'fiberglassing kit from repco'. Whatever that is.

Na dont bother with the repco fibreglass kit. Just bring your fairings round and we can fix them no worries. Local panel beater should be able to weld mirror bracket.
All else a hammer should do the job for bending unless someone has some gear to do it?

Oh and what was the front end off again? I have some suzuki switch blocks etc if they fit. I think I remember you say a suzuki rg?

Yeah. Everyone thought I was a bit too happy about it. Truth is, I'm not happy about my bike, but I am pretty happy about how I crashed it, considering I could have ended up on those rocks with a broken back. Instead, I walked away with sore joints and a little scratch on my elbow.

If that isn't reason to be a bit happy, I don't know what is.

Westie - PM'd. Cheers for the offer.

You should have seen the grin on GIjoe1313's face when he'd binned his hornet on Twilight Road!

Happy to be in one piece.

Amen! When I saw the incident developing, I had that sinking feeling since I could easily relate to your experience breakaway! 'Cept there wasn't massive boulders and a longer drop where you were!

Glad to hear you are getting it sorted, hows the injuries/bruises going?

You bet I'm happy to be in one piece. It could have gone south so easily.

Cheers gijoe - I'm sweet as mate. Knees etc still a bit sore, but not enough to stop me riding. Gonna go conquer that corner properly when I get my shit sorted out.

Good on ya - I've yet to go back to that corner where I lowsided in Raglan yet! As for your knees, tried Arnica cream or any other pain relief ointment?

Nah, didn't take pain relief, except panadols for two or three days after the crash when pain was real bad.

Alright, got some fiberglassing done yesterday (Thanks westie )

Now to get some undercoat on, and buy a screen brace bracket. These are proving difficult to find.

    So far I've bought
    - Subframe - $20
    - Rear (Side Fairing) Panels - $50
    - Tail Light - $20
    - Tinted Screen (New) - $32

    Need the following
    - Bracket that holds gauges
    - Bracket that holds mirrors in place (screen brace)
    - Right side mirror

And then I have to paint

I'm going to see if I can weld my bracket back together. The rod in the middle snapped in half when the right mirror hit the ground:

Also Gotta bend the seat lock thingers back somehow:
