lol but it's too pity to be undiscovered! lol I want the whole 250cc KB riders to have a visit! Especially the ford!!! go and have some splash!

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

heheh i went there today just now. the road down from titirangi roundabout was VERY VERY damp and slippery in the morning to i nana-ed it down on about 40k's. nice road out but i again i was nana-ing it cos i didnt know the road and it was a bit damp in the shaded areas. tried to find some places on the side of the road to stop and take piccies but its all gravelly and i dont think my bike/tyres like that too much. did the usual photo taking on the top of huia dam. coming back to titirangi was much more fun since i know the road doesnt have any nasty surprises and it was a bit drier i opened it up a bit more. got to titirangi and wanted to find the northwestern but didnt know the way; spent the next 30minutes riding in a generally northerly direction but really had no idea where i was at; eventually came out in ranui somewhere, went up NW and then turn into sh28 to albany and then back home. yay

    wow they are nice photos.
Did you check out the deep "Pit" up on the dam? where it's just beneath the bridge? lol last time I stood on the bridge where it's just above the hole and thought "Omg! Where does the hole end?"
I ran to the safe ground after that
    Honestly it was scary lol

Rode to Kaiaua with 2 other riders for fish and chips. Testing out my new ride. She handles much better than the old fireblade (need new brake pads now). Weather was great but windy and a couple of slippery bends. Traffic was good not much cars and no tragedies. awesome ride.

Hey guys -- I was out that way too today. Except instead of peeling off left to Huia I carried on going through to Piha. On the way back I went part of the way down Lone Kauri Rd. All of these roads are very good for bikes like ours, lots of tight twisties, very fun. The only problem with going out to Piha on a day like today is the terrible traffic and very slow cars. Best of all, it's right on my doorstep.

I agree, the roads around there would be very good for a 250 run. Short, fun, not too fast, and close to Auckland.

The road to Piha is quite nice. Might make a trip there next weekend.

To get there, just head towards Helensville hot pools and keep going

Not sure if anyone mentioned this or not, but remember the gates to the dam close at 3:30pm sharp

I've also included a pic of the "hole" (outlet)

Lol. We ride motorcycles, remember! When has a gate ever stopped us?

I rather enjoyed my 1am ramblings, pillion included, around a closed and locked Cornwall Park.

you guys cant be serious? the roads to Piha are bloody dangerous, once i came off the road and nearly hit the side of the cliff right next to the road in my car cuz some bastard coming the other way high beamed me and i couldn't see where the road was going for a second, there were heaps of stones in that section too right before a bridge or something, it could be fatal for a motorcyclist going too fast into that corner with the stones and the cliff side and the bridge. i managed to stop within inches of hitting something.
