    Windy Windy Wednesday

    Hi guys and gals,

Geez it was one heck of a windy ride home along the southern motorway heading back into the city from work, The darn wind tried blowing me into trucks and all sorts.

No real close calls though, Any exciting news from my fellow bikers with their journeys in the excessive wind today??

You've been hanging around with Big Dave too much, I would've thought working in College Hill would bring out the sensitive side in you...

After surviving riding in that last mega storm I barely consider today's conditions a light breeze. Then again I was on the NW so might have had a tail wind

I didn't think too much to the wind today, although a couple of good gusts did shift me sideways a bit.

One of the girls at work cycles in almost every day and she was complaining about the wind.

Biggest danger I faced on the way home was two idiots drivers not indicating.
Luckily I was keeping a good gap between me an them so their sudden non-indicated lane changes didn't create any panic moments.

    Talking Open road wind!

I find it useful to open the throttle slightly when a gust occurs on the open road, it settles the bike quickly and allows me to point it where I need to go. Wouldn't work on a motorway in traffic, though. Cheers.
When you take thousands of photos of your bike does the light from the flash weaken the plastic?

went out yesterday, insanely windy, but I just HAD to get out (and I had the afternoon off).

At one point I got hit by an amazingly strong blast and was in serious danger of being blown of the road, felt I couldn't lean further in to it, like I was trying to lean into a brick wall (gn's are so light!).
Instincts had me automatically grabbing on as tight as I could with any body part that was close to my bike.
    Including my hands.
Including my hand wrapped around the clutch.
Eyes stretched wider than they are physically capable of!
Thankfully I don'y ride with my hand on the brakes....

Oh, also scared the crap out of myself when this insane noise started, I was sure the bike was about to self-destruct beneath me.

Then I realised it was the wind in some wires above me..... (blush!)
