    Help needed!

Hey well i was wondering what this hose is doing dangling down under my bike. Nothing has leaked out so far but im sure it's not supposed to be hanging down like that. This is my first bike and its 2days old so i don't know much about bikes. Model gt250r 07. Not the greatest pics but its cold and wet outside!

i would say that it is the over flow for the battery or the fule line... don't worry unless you see oil pouring out..lol

most likely a breather/overflow hose and nothing to worry about. Do you have an owners manual for your bike?

I noticed that hose on another gtr250 '07' that I was following last weekend & it was very close the ground, stands out when you are following from behind.

Thanks! And yeah i do, i've yet to read the whole thing.. just things things like tyre pressure, breaking in rules and basic inspection prior to riding. Can i shorten the hose cleanly and get it taped to the side so if it does start spitting out oil it wont go under my rear tyre? Thats assuming it can do that while moving etc.

Take the fairings off and see where it goes to, if it goes into the carburetors it will be a fuel overflow, and if it goes into the radiator it will be the overflow for that, or if it goes into the top of the engine it will be the oil overflow i think it should plug into the airbox. The fuel or radiator or battery ones should just dangle down, and if so, you can cut / extend it as much as you want.

He's right. Look under your gas flap, that little hole there is the other end. Mine rubbed on the tyre so I loosely cable tied it to that (centre stand?) bracket you can see in your second pic.
