good on ya. I was going to go up to it but the thought of so many bikes on such a technical road put me off. Looks like you had a plan and all went well.

There was a cop leading the pack as far as the gravel section plus marshalls who you weren't supposed to pass. Around 100 bikes of all sorts and I guess a few who hadn't done the road. Was much better when we had the road to ourselves!

Heard someone crashed about Toko,we were lucky to get to plateau before the masses in hindsight due to mist,at least there was only 4 -5 cars at the mountain house.

Aparently there was a police escort up the mountain, with the road wet and tight near the plateau all hell could happen with guys returning and those arriving at some of the corners. Was definately 2 and 3 gear towards the top going up and same coming down, plenty of nice white lines to dodge, and road surface quite smoooth till mountain house.

Must go up again next week if weather is better, having about 20 mts visibility aint fun,and neither is a wet visor.Even the t shirt was feeling cool under leather jacket.

Never ceases to amaze me how the weather changes up there, been tramoing a few times in bush areas so not high up and can be fine and then rain within an hour,no wonder it has claimed so many lives of trampers/climbers.

Just as well there wasn't a 3rd connie and you guys going up that road, shit it's narrow at the top,3 abreast would take up all the road, true only about 4 mts wide.Saw a few of them come past, maybe another 4 or so.They give the impression of a wide vehicle but take bags off and quite small, for a 1400 bike.

who's seen the new-ish Triumph 675 at ANZA?

they already had a standard gold one but now there's a black one with gold trim sitting next to it and it's unsplurburisingly splendiferacular!!

that is one seriously sexy machine
