Yod, NZSarge and myself peeled off from the main group and went on a "wee" ride around the "loop". John and Jonno can fill you in on the details. Needless to say this ol coots feelling a bit weary. Topped up the CXs oil ready for the next one. I also noted the front tire needs to be changed.

A bit windy. But hey, we where out on the bikes.

Yeah cheers John, coffee and the donut hit the spot nicely.
    Bonez "detour" was successful
    Sarge's "detour" not so successful
Nevermind the day at large was a great success to be sure, just what the Doc ordered.
The FZ1 chuckes a hissy fit any time it gets near gravel!

Yeah it's all good, starting to gel with the bike again by the end of the ride, although I dropped it in the gravel again at the Pahiatua turn off. Yet another newbie mistake! I'm gonna have to get my shit together one way or another.

Hmmmm, sounds familiar. Bloody silver bikes! Must be jinxed! It only happens to nice shiny new bikes!
