Life has been such a whirl lately I've not had a chance to post properly for ages and still don't! So, seeing as I've caused a little speculation recently, here's a couple of piccies. Very nice, and will be nicer still once a gremlin has been sorted. Still, she goes like a cut cat
Bloody rabbit got away too....before I had a chance to train it to make lattes and dig post holes. Doggone!
And then there was three........................![]()
errr yep! And I can confirm that Daytona can certainly get up and go. I reckon its quicker than the 9
Best place to stay in Hawkes Bay here

I thought that in honour of the new arrivals I had better post. It has been manic with the move, PhD stuffthe arrival of steers named after girls with purple eartags, 6 chickens, the jet- setting dawg and the injured rabbit!!! 86 keeps me in touch with the gossip and now we have broadband it doesn't take all night!!
The final arrival, the blue beast, got home at 11pm on Tuesday. Both 86 and I were knackered after 2 wellie trips in 3 days and having to got to work in between (shouldn't be expected). It was great to park it in the garage next to SK1PY, I shall be spoilt by the variety!!!!
Al took him to work on wednesday and then we went for a training trip over piahatua, ballance and the saddle in the evening. We had traded Daytona's near the gorge and that was probably good as the saddle road was awful and the golden girl at present is an easier ride!!! I certainly slowed down after having an oops on the first gravelled corner.
We are having issue with the blue boy running rich so there is a dead spot and then a sudden surge at low rpm, WMC tell me it is the mapping for the pipe but it makes for an interesting trip on the gravel at home. There is no doubt that the bike can move, I shall have to watch myself after being so used to having throttle strained open on SK1PY!!!
Don't say that, the blue beast might be but it will be pootling along at the back just like SK1PY![]()
At least until I have the guts to open the throttle more than 1/4 of the way. He definately is a grunty man that's for sure. Enjoy riding both Daytona's but he is definately different. Less like SK1PY on the back end now 86 has softened the suspension a bit!!!
Scared the pants off me coming down our drive, think 86 was working out how quickly he could park, jump off and grab the bike!!!!
Two golduns' at the front and a blue growler at the back (the bike that is).
Matches my sunnies so I had to have it. It is important for us ladies to accessorise
I will be riding to Wellington on saturday morning via piahauta, masterton etc if anybody wants to watch me wobble along and go for a jaunt over taka's if weather nice![]()
Congratulations Sarah on the purchase, dare I say I think I like the blue better.
Any room left in the garage left for a car, two Gixxer's, two Daytona's and a Honda...Sheesh!
He he, Daytona's round here......breeding like erm...Rabbit's![]()

Howdy Meanie, how long is it gonna take to get the damage fixed? When do you guys head back?
Enjoy the rest of ya hols.
Popped in to drop the 250RS barrel off at Dogs and Phebs tonight. Awesome evening to be out on the bike. They weren't home so I decided to do the gravel loop road that goes around the farm. Fantastic!.
Called in again and they'd just gotten back, so had a cuppa and a natter than a ride back home in the dark. Lots of moths, rabbits, the odd sheep, and other unidentifiable wildlife wandering the road.
See you can have fun on a old, that hasn't fallen to bits in 20 years, underpowered bike with budget shocks, cheap helmet, second hand protective gear and combat boots.![]()
well after an absolute crap few weeks & now Betsy is back home & we are both legal gonna head out each day for rides .. anyone else keen ?
Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
