ohh did not know that about the katana .. wonder if that is why they seem like a bargain .. anyhow still want to look at a newer model 1200 & may even take a new 650 out now as well
The guy in Pahiatua mentioned there were a hole heap in some eastern European countries warehouse and Suzuki NZ snapped them up. Parts shouldn't be an issue for a long time yet. Hell I can still get new parts if I wanted for my '81 GSX750 via the states.

Yep that's why the katana is only 9,995 brand new, apparently the suzuki nz guy bought the last few from a warehouse in asia so when they are all sold that's it. I'm keen to try the new 650 to and the 1200 so we'll have to arrange another test ride session

oh yeah that's right phill turnbull guy said it was somewhere in eastern europe

Parts no biggy,I had to get a new master cylinder, took a few days due to wrong parts arriving at shop, went in Monday part here Tuesday, part sent back and arrived 4pm Thursday, bike all go Friday.

Basically motors sitting in storage and put in frame and new bike cheap, old technology with basic frame equals cheap reliable bike from new.

Sandra like the red one to your right, should buy that one, older Yamaha looks familiar.

Yeah true, just makes me a wee bit nervous knowing that they don't make them anymore, but parts would probably last for a few years until ya upgraded the bike anyway.
Oh yeah the red bike had a wee whine from the engine so that put her off a bit

Hi chanceyy, hey know the bikes you,re looking at in Pahiatua. Looked at them myself in the new year. Seriously considered the '99 bandit but got a bargain '03 model, 1 owner, 30,000km & full givi luggage etc on Trademe. Have bought several Bikes from that dealer with no probs whatsoever. Cant go wrong with the 1200's they're bulletproof. I'm sure Tony will Move on the price quite a bit if you're keen.
If I want your opinion I'll give it to ya

Having a number of bikes over 20 years old I can varify that statement.

yeah he will but really keen to get either an 04 or + model .. the 99 sure was a tidy bike, & he has been using it as his own touring bike

at this stage I am testing a selection of bikes no rush to upgrade as the next purchase will be with me for a while & i have a set criteria ..

Yeah I agree. Wanted a later looking model myself thats y I got the '03 model. Tested a '07 1250 Bandit in napier here before xmas. More nimble than my '03 & bit more responsive being fuel injected. However had to get the missus & my gear again so had to buy a bit cheaper. Have put a 17 tooth front sprocket on mine for even better fuel economy for two up riding. average of 18-20km/litre with luggage.
If I want your opinion I'll give it to ya
