The rear tyre has done about 5k and it's feeling pretty pooped! front one looks hardly worried about it, they went on when I bought the bike.
They take more to warm up than the michelin (I think) but it's hard to say be I cant compare apples with apples at the moment until I get some PP's on the bike and run them for a while but I will be going back to Michelin's.
They stick pretty well from as far as my megere talent's can tell but I noticed during the short time I ran them on the Ace that I did'nt quite get the feeling of confidence the I did on PP's

hmm yea thats good to know that ,im thinking of pilot powers myself but ive had people say they are hard to warm up on a 600 and that you need to ride them very hard to get them sticky or something ...But then again my kat 600 is fairly heavy so it shouldn't be a problem im guessing

That's basically the feeling I have about the front Conti on my bike but considering the lack of wear I might find it to be an issue what ever tyre I put on there. I found the Michies warmed easy, but a lot more weight to get things going in my case.

o ok ,yea well thats what i was hoping with my katana ,its not as heavy as the FZ1 but then again its not a lightweight GSXR so im thinking even though its not a speed/torque machine its got a bit of weight on it so i should be alright with the pp's as this would cause them to warm up normally .... i hope so anyway,as ive got a road and sport on at the moment and dont really find them that great at all ,so want to replace them with something a little more sticky ,was also thinking Metzeler M3's as they get good write up also

I reckon the PP's warm quickly too. When running 0-psi, they actually melt.

    it's not....yet....

there are quite a few bikes I'd like to try but they're mostly not in palmy and I haven't had the RF so I cant get there, need to take mrs yod too so we can try them all 2-up as well of course....

(the thought of driving a car around the countryside in my bike gear to test ride bikes just seems....wrong..... and it wouldnt be half as much fun)

will report on any and all i try tho

Like the idea of taking the better half along with you,at least ya are halfway there with a new bike(she is ok with it lol).

How long before the parts arrive for the beast? The proverbial slow boat from Japan is a bugger, when they arrive for you it will mean the end of the drought for cockies.Hopefully the days will remain fine, weekend weather seems to be typical here, fine thurs, fri, then showers/rain sat and sunday.
