Nothing wrong with the aka's lol used to drive a truck and trailer over there (but then i had a pilot and it was only cause we were rebuilding the collapsed road) but i do like it, took a mate over there a month or two back on his FXR lol that shut him up !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

The Aka's are fantastic. Jeez guys, next you'll be wanting a centreline and rest stops with heated loo seats I suppose

I even had some fella in a late model Mustang signal me to slow down, which suggested to me that there may be danger ahead, as 40kph was hardly terrorising the neighborhood. No unexpected danger appeared, so I concluded his concern was with the possibility of me throwing a stone at his precious fucking Mustang.
I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to do it again anytime soon Sugilite!

What a load of woosies, except you sinfull and 86
Nahhh, seriously, I totally understand why it gives most people the shits. I lived in Paraparaumu and used to take it to the takas, the 1st few times I kind off just endured it, but then it got to the point where I enjoyed it more than the Rimitakas themselves. I got to know it so well, I knew where the rock falls were going to be after a heavy rain, where the moss grew and so on. It's good for developing that spidy sense too hehehe

My all time favourite ride through there was on a GSXR1100 modded superbike, developed a whole riding style around that bike getting it through there...I called it controlled crashing

Out of all those rides I did actually crash once, on a temp one way wooden bridge covered with diesel one end to the other...I saw it pulled in clutch, did not touch brakes, but moment front tyre rolled onto bridge, wham, down goes bike with fresh one week old paint So I think, at least my mate following saw me and will fare better...just then his bike slid past me! We had to drag our bikes off as the wet diesel drenched wood was so slippery, we could not get a good enough foot hold to lift our bikes! Yes siree, the aka's, fun times!!!!

Oh yeah Ferris, I too have come across cycle races there, and yep, writes off a days fun, mind you they do that to any road.

See there has been a coffee to go wagon up on top the paekok hill the last few weeks !
Wonder what it would take to get them to sit on top of the aka's for a few weekends lol
