Life is way too short to listen to nay sayers.And a biggerer bike means the lady at home can enjoy the trips(or tell her to get her license).Many a lady said "I'm not hopping on the back" actually enjoy riding.
One thing about the rides is being comfortable at your pace,and nobody gives grief if you are slow,we can't all start off like superbike stars.And watching guys like 86,Cowboyz,Meanie,Yod,Bonez,Monie,NZSarge,to name a few is the confidence you get by following and watching them,usually dissapearing quickly,but picking up on the way the bike handles,and trying to be smooth.One ride up the track we did I wanted to get to the top and bottom of the first hill on it without braking,keeping it smooth and fastish(for me 2 up),managed to do it,rode the remaining 20km to Pahiatua happy as.Watching these guys helped,especially when new to area like we are,not knowing the roads as well as others.
