    Yeh, when I see bikes kitted out like that, all I can think is 'for this to a be a solution there's something gone wrong with the design process and/or intended application' I just don't get the need for all that instrumentation, and why that there isn't something that can do all of it in one device.

    I do it all oldschool, road trip = petrol, tools, canned food and crossed fingers (plus lots of tobacco)

    New tyres tomorrow - got a fairly sharp price on the BT023s from City Honda. It remains to be seen how far they'll last but as long as it's around 8-9000 they'll still be as good value as the last two sets of PR2's I've run.

    I asked about whether the GT version was worth it but apparently they're "really only for the heavy bikes like a Concours or ST1300"

    oh I dunno, not exactly my taste either but there's a lot worse out there than a Cross-Runner looks-wise, I was rather hoping they'd have their VFR1200 demo for me to try but 'twas not to be...
