    He certainly was. Like I had to swing off the fj1200 to get it to lean, my 50kg and puny arms don't do much I was giving it the ole heave ho on the bars and still thought it was taking 10 years to drop in, so, I sat back and had toast and coffee

    Ok Meanie... I concede the point.

    I finally understand the point of your battlestar Concours and its oh so F$%king useful pannier system!

    After you saw us in the Plaza, Maria decided, in typical female fashion to go on a spending spree and load us up with double what we could carry on the bikes. Shoes, a plastic rubbish bin, towels - mega large and small, a new jacket, tights and shirt thing - dont ask, womens clothes baffle me. Add to this the 2 backpacks full of stuff we already had and it made for an interesting logistics exercise ferrying stuff back to the apartment!

    On the bright side, she's taking the D675 out for her first solo run on it tomorrow, so I may yet get the opportunitiy to upgrade it shortly...lol

    Have faith... she hasn't binned it yet and shes not taking it out into traffic. Everyboby said it was a "girls" bike...lol guess now we'll find out. I just need to rewrite the controls info in Portuguese for her....lol

    Just an update from me.....

    Hey guys, I aint spent much time online of late cos I have to use cyber cafes...But I am back down home now and it is good. Had a real rough crossing on sunday 31st, waves were huge....was a 1 o'clock sailing, and it took 4 1/2 hours to cross...Was snowing in the sounds andf also going out of Blenheim thru to L. Grassmere...heaps of slush on the Kaikoura Rd...
    Been back for a week and am already feeling better...Had a great night on Friday night catching up with KBers down here, and was good to see Selwyn and Gareth too...met a lovely lady there that has helped me through this weekend......nuff said on that front (p.s, dont tell unohoo), but it is all good, and I look foward to seeing you all at the cold duck next year....
