wow.. dont do the rifleman path...seriously. It will suck the life out of you. If you have half a brain take a trade. Pick something you may enjoy and that will have a future in civi street and go that way.
Logistics - Mechanic
Logistics - EIR (Electronics and Instrument Repair) Tech
Logistic - Ammunition Tech - my old trade
Logistics - Move Op (if you want to travel for free)
Logistics - Driver
Logistics - Pet Op (aircraft refuelling is fun!)
Engineer - Plant Op
Engineer - Carpenter
Engineer - 240v
etc

They all travel and they all go on ops just like grunts BUT you get a trade to boot. And get paid more once Core Training/Trade Training is completed.

and Basic training IS called "basic" pronounced "bass-ik" (like mass)

hmm yea i really should become a medic.... because im wanting to become a medical imaging tech once i leave the army......
